Tonico is an accessible luxury performance brand built on structure, science, and discipline. Acting as the sole Marketing Director and Creative Lead, I was responsible for the end to end development of the brand’s visual and strategic identity.
Positioned in the specific gap between elite private clubs and commercial gyms, Tonico offers a high end, coach led environment that prioritizes long term capability over short term aesthetics. This project demonstrates my ability to manage a 360 degree brand rollout, covering digital infrastructure, physical retail design, and hyper growth social strategy.
My creative direction for Tonico was rooted in their scientific, performance-focused approach. I avoided the loud, aggressive tropes of the fitness industry in favor of a calm, grounded, and precise tone that focused on wellness and training as a tool to improve your body, and therefore your life. By utilizing a minimalist palette of black and white with rare, intentional red accents, I established a visual language that feels premium yet rational. This authoratiative positioning allowed the brand to compete with elite London clubs while remaining accessible to a dedicated community of professionals who value structure over hype.

My digital strategy was built on a calculated dual-audience model. I developed relatable, high-velocity content for a younger demographic to drive organic reach, utilizing their influence to bridge the gap to our core clientele: the established Kensington professional. By shifting the narrative from entertaining awareness to high-value education, I ensured that Tonico resonated as both a modern lifestyle brand and a disciplined center for athletic performance. This shift resulted in a 470 percent increase in engagement and views within the first month. By aligning the brand’s digital voice with its physical boutique experience, I successfully achieved the company’s annual membership goals in just six months, effectively doubling the projected growth rate through disciplined storytelling and targeted community engagement:

This work reinforces the principle that branding is the primary communicator of value; it is the difference between "going to the gym" and "joining a movement." Through intentional positioning and relentless execution, Tonico has established itself as a permanent fixture in the luxury performance market.
