Tonico is an accessible luxury performance brand built on structure, science, and discipline. Acting as the sole Marketing Director, I was responsible for the end to end development of the brand’s visual and strategic identity.

Positioned in the specific gap between elite private clubs and commercial gyms, Tonico offers a high end, coach led environment that prioritizes long term capability over short term aesthetics. This project demonstrates my ability to manage a 360 degree brand rollout, covering digital infrastructure, physical retail design, and hyper growth social strategy.

My creative direction for Tonico was rooted in their scientific, performance-focused approach. I avoided the loud, aggressive tropes of the fitness industry in favor of a calm, grounded, and precise tone that focused on wellness and training as a tool to improve your body, and therefore your life. I built on the existing brand image to extend a visual language that feels premium yet rational. This authoritative positioning allowed the brand to compete with elite London clubs while remaining accessible to a dedicated community of professionals who value structure over hype.

To scale reach while protecting brand equity, I engineered a dual-audience model and diversified our content types into a structured, cohesive grid. I recognized that to drive conversion among our core clientele, the established 30–50 year old Kensington professional, we first needed to drive organic reach. I achieved this by leveraging younger, platform-native demographics as an organic reach engine.

I built a diversified content matrix designed to serve distinct marketing funnel functions. I introduced high-production educational content, including technical machine tutorials, detailed hypertrophy carousels, and a signature "Myth vs. Truth" series to establish unmistakably authoritative brand positioning. To maximize engagement and brand discovery, I integrated sophisticated, relatable, and lighthearted content tailored to platform-native behavior, successfully cracking the algorithm and yielding our highest view counts to date from non-followers.

The Tonico brand extends beyond the screen and into the physical environment of the gym. I designed every tangible touchpoint to reinforce the brand's premium identity, including assets below. This holistic approach ensured that the "Tonico Mindset" is felt at every stage of the customer journey; from the first time a pedestrian sees the window vinyl to the aesthetics of the gym floor when training.

I designed a targeted brand ambassador framework with high-profile fashion models and lifestyle creators. Bringing them into the venue for guided, trainer led sessions addressed multiple commercial objectives simultaneously.

First, it established lifestyle status and institutional credibility; when individuals whose careers depend on physical excellence rely on Tonico, our trainers are positioned as the ultimate authorities.

Second, showcasing premium female creators organically diversified our Instagram grid, softening the gym's entry point to attract females.

Finally, the strategy secured high visibility organic reach across audiences already primed for premium wellness.

The campaign successfully shifted our membership architecture, driving an immediate, sustained increase in female visitor traffic and active acquisitions while permanently cementing Tonico’s position as a premium destination.

Professional Venue Photography Gallery

The gym possessed beautiful, high-end interiors, including premium marble countertops and immaculate, boutique style bathrooms. They are a primary value proposition for the market. However, these features were completely unrepresented in our digital footprint.

I led a comprehensive venue photoshoot to correct this discrepancy, capturing the calm, uncrowded, and premium reality of the space. Elevating the photography standards instantly resolved our digital presentation problem, aligning the online experience with the physical luxury of the club.

By bridging the gap between soul-artistic joy and human connection-and logic-data driven growth and operational efficiency, the project has redefined what a boutique fitness brand can achieve. This work reinforces the principle that branding is the primary communicator of value; it is the difference between "going to the gym" and "joining a movement." Through intentional positioning and relentless execution, Tonico has established itself as a permanent fixture in the luxury performance market. It has attracted an overall 5 star review on Google and ClassPass and celebrities including Dave Bautista and Romeo Beckham.
